How to make colored U-shaped glass more colorful

——Building materials new favorite colored U-shaped glass, with the summer heat wave wave higher than wave, into our architectural works.

In the large family of glass, in addition to the colorless and transparent glass that we often see in our daily life, there are many colored glass, including black glass, such as car window glass is purple black, blue building glass, etc. At traffic intersections, traffic lights should have red, yellow and green glasses as lampshades; lights are put on everywhere in the night of festival celebration, and now people use colored light bulbs (mostly made of glass of various colors) to decorate the festival.

In order to meet the customer's overall color decoration effect, Xiangjie U-glass R & D department has successfully developed a variety of color noumenon U-glass through continuous tests, which can be applied to the color design requirements of various places and used in many projects in China.

Color U-shaped glass can be customized, including grain, board width, wing height and thickness, secondary processing sand blasting, jade sand, frosting, colored glaze, fire protection and explosion-proof.

The main component of U-shaped glass is quartz sand. Its manufacturing process is crystal formed by cooling quartz sand with other chemical materials after firing at high temperature (1300 ℃), which has the characteristics of hard quality, wear resistance, high light transmittance and corrosion resistance. Its wide application has a long history.

Although ordinary U-shaped glass looks bright and transparent from the front, it is slightly cyan from the side near the edge. Because the color of glass depends on the purity and iron content of quartz sand, the main raw material for making glass, a small amount of manganese dioxide or selenium is added to make it a colorless U-shaped glass. There are also some dark U-shaped glass that can be used to make some decorations, because the requirements are not very high, and we only occasionally produce them. But the current design requirements of color U-shaped glass have very high scientific requirements, which can only be made after the secret of U-shaped glass color is revealed.

Color U-shaped glass, adopting the whole coloring process, is a kind of natural color glass. The product colors are light blue, diamond blue, sea water blue, brown, green and gray black.

After research, it is found that if 0.4-0.7% colorant is added to the ingredients of ordinary glass, the U-shaped glass will be colored. Most colorants are metal oxides. We know that each metal element has its unique "spectral characteristics", so different metal oxides can show different colors. If these oxides are added to the glass ingredients, the glass will be colored.

For example, the following oxides are added: copper oxide (Ⅱ) or chromium oxide (Ⅲ) to produce green; cobalt oxide (Ⅱ) to produce blue; manganese dioxide to produce purple; tin dioxide or calcium fluoride to produce milky white; uranium compounds to produce yellow green fluorescence; colloidal selenium to produce red jade; colloidal gold to produce red, red purple or blue; cuprous oxide to produce red, green or blue; ferrous compounds to produce green for a long time It is black; iron (Ⅲ) compounds produce yellow.

In fact, the color of U-glass not only depends on the colorant added, but also through the melting temperature and the nature of furnace flame to adjust the valence of elements, so that the glass presents different colors. For example, if the copper in U-shaped glass is in the presence of high price copper oxide, the glass will appear blue-green; if the copper oxide (Cu2O) is in the presence of low price, the glass will appear red. Sometimes, the glass does not show good after one time of melting, and it needs a second time of heating to make the glass show color. This is the case with the precious golden red glass, which is made by adding a small amount of gold into the ordinary glass ingredients. After the first fusing, gold is distributed in the glass in the form of atoms, at this time, the glass does not show color; when it is heated to a temperature close to softening again, the gold atoms in it aggregate into colloidal particles, at this time, the glass shows a beautiful red color.

Now, people use rare earth oxide as colorant to make all kinds of advanced color glass. The color glass mixed with rare earth elements has bright and clean color, bright color, and even changes color in different light. In addition to rare earth elements, tungsten and platinum can also be added directly into the glass to make a color changing glass.

Colored U-shaped glass makes your architectural works more effective.
